Do you have a difficult time house training your dog? This article is going to show you 7 ways to cure your dog's house training problem. Many dog owners, if not all of them, have this kind of issues at home, especially if they don't know a lot about training their dog, or what it takes to make him obey and listen to you.
The first way is to make sure you have good management skills. You have to be a big believer and keep a very close eye on the dog when you are house training him. These are very crucial when you bring home a dog or a little puppy. Always have a leash and keep him close to you in the room.
The second thing you need to do is to teach your dog a cue. You need to teach them to let you know when they have to go outside. One way to do that is to hang a bell on the door so he can go over and ding the bell to let you know that he wants to go outside.
The third way is to make sure you properly clean up after your dog. Always keep a very close eye on the ingredients of whatever cleaner you are using, because a lot of cleaners are made with ammonia. If there is ammonia in the product that you are using it will smell like urine to your dog when he comes to the cleaned place. He will try to cover up the smell. So make sure to use products with enzymes that naturally break down the smell. You can also use vinegar and water.

Fourth thing is to make sure that your dog is healthy. Make sure he doesn't have a blather infection, or a urinary tract infection because no amount of training can overcome a physical problem. So rule out any health problem your dog maybe experiencing.
The fifth step is to teach your dog to go on command. When you bring your dog outside on leash, and they start to sniff and circle the ground giving you the cue to go start using commands like hurry up or get busy whatever you like until he starts going. As soon as he starts stop talking and when he is finished reward him saying how good he is or treat him with something.
The sixth thing you need to do is to be there to influence your dog's behavior. Always be there to say good dog or bring him back if he wants to go outside and not just tie him to the fence and leave. You must influence your dog so that he knows what is right and wrong in your house to do.
Seventh way to house train your dog is to be careful with punishment. Never severely punish your dog if he does something in the house, like breaking something. What you are going to get if you punish your dog to harshly is making the dog hold on to the punishment whenever you are with him. And the first chance he is going to get is run away from that and you can never train him to be your best friend.
